Bringing help and hope
What is Bugaowo Charitable Organization?
Bugaowo Charitable Organization is a nonprofit group committed to helping alleviate critical food and water shortages among orphans, the elderly, and other underserved communities across Nigeria. We focus our relief efforts on providing life’s most fundamental necessities – clean drinking water and nutritious food.
Founded in 2023, Bugaowo operates across all regions of the country to reach Nigerians who urgently require aid. Our field team travels regularly to even the most remote villages to assess needs and ensure care packages directly reach those living with severely limited resources.
Over the past year, our volunteers have distributed noodles, proteins, milk, yoghurts, high-nutrition porridge, and financial aid for medical/dental to rural orphanages and elderly care centres. During seasonal droughts, we undertake additional programs to truck clean drinking water to communities where groundwater has run dry.
Looking ahead, Bugaowo aims to continue expanding our outreach to additional underserved populations through fundraising drives and support from our partners. Our core mission remains profoundly focused – to spread help and hope to Nigerians who need it most during their times of hardship. Only through the power of human compassion and empathy can we uplift those who have fallen through the cracks.
Please consider contributing to our charity programs or volunteering your time. Together, our efforts can make all the difference in helping fellow Nigerians build healthier and brighter futures during even the darkest days.
Compassion in Action:
Bugaowo Volunteers Deliver Food Aid
This on-the-ground glimpse shows our Bugaowo Charitable Organization volunteers distributing critical nourishment and financial aid to The Destitutes Care in Lagos. Watch as we hand out parcel essentials like milk, yoghurt, canned tuna and nutritious noodles to help sustain over 100 displaced men, women and youth relying on their centre.
Interviews capture the motivations of volunteers selflessly giving their time to ease immense hardship through these basic provisions. We also distribute small cash allotments to individuals with urgent needs for medications, transportation and other critical incidentals in a time of total financial instability.
As the care centre residents eagerly receive their donations, the atmosphere palpably transforms from one of anxiety to hope and profound human connection. Our relief convoys aim to frequently return restocked with more food, funds, and supplies to continue assisting those in need.
We entirely rely on public empathy and contributions to finance the purchasing and distribution of aid exactly when and where it’s most desperately required along Nigeria’s margins. This is “Compassion in Action.”
